Resonances & Reflections: Sounding Crisis in Denmark 2021/22

In this post I will publish on an ongoing basis my research and its findings about the sound practices of activists in Denmark addressing climate change. So far, I have attended the Global Climate Strike organized by Fridays for Future Denmark on September 24, 2021, the Folkets Klimamarch on November 6, 2021, the demonstration #DanmarkHarKlimagæld March 5, 2022 and the Vendepunktet demonstration organized by Extinction Rebellion Denmark in May 2022.

You already can watch a recording of a revised version of a talk I gave about my very first field research at the Global Climate Strike on September 24, 2021 in Copenhagen to my colleagues at the department of Musicology at the University of Copenhagen below. Please be aware: This was the first time that I recorded a video of myself giving an academic talk. So please bare with me for being so stiff and formal. And please be also aware that I think and hope that I have made some progress in developing my project since then. For example, meanwhile, I use the official name Kalaallit Nunaat, when speaking about Greenland, and I write Denmark and Greenland separated with a comma instead of a slash to stress their statuses as separate entities and acknowledge the self-rule of Kalaallit Nunaat.
